082A Irish Stallion Farms EBF Med Auct M'dn

Adam Caffrey, rider of Dixie Doodle, trained by Noel Meade, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got upset in the stalls.

The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident at the road crossing in the home straight involving Halon Bay, ridden by L.T. McAteer, placed fourth, and Prince Andorra, ridden by D.W. O'Connor, placed fifth, where it appeared Halon Bay became unbalanced crossing the road and rolled across Prince Andorra. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

082B Mac Tar H'cap

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Nephin Mountain, trained by Michael Mulvany, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident crossing the road in the home straight involving Glamazon, ridden by S. Foley, placed fifth, and Balance Of Trade, ridden by J. Pietropaolo, placed third, where it appeared J. Pietroaolo became unbalanced, lost a rein and drifted across Glamazon. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

S. Foley, rider of Glamazon, trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was tightened up late on.

J. Pietropaolo, rider of Balance Of Trade, trained by Michael Mulvany, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran around in the last furlong and a half.

082C BOYLE Sports H'cap

The Raceday Stewards requested a report from Anthony Mullins, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Lahore Da King, placed first, as compared with its most recent run. M. Rafiq, Representative for Anthony Mullins stated that their charge had disappointed on its last start on the back of three quick runs but a break prior to today's run may have helped to bring about the apparent improvement in form. Having considered the report the Raceday Stewards noted the explanation given. Furthermore. the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that Anthony Mullins was in breach of Rule 147 (v), in that he had failed to appoint an Authorised Representative, and having considered his record in this regard they fined Anthony Mullins €130 on this occasion.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Goldrush Kid, trained by Patrick Magee, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to have blood at both nostrils post race.

B.M. Coen, rider of Bay Of Dreams, trained by Ciaran Murphy, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was badly hampered coming out of the back straight.

J.M. Sheridan, rider of Kakori, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was brought out of the race on the bottom bend.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident on the top bend involving Bay Of Dreams, ridden by B.M. Coen, Lohengrin (GB), ridden by J.A. Heffernan, Kakori, ridden by J.M. Sheridan, and Goldrush Kid, ridden by J. Kearney, where it appeared Goldrush kid dropped back through the field and two horses were brought down. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. B. M. Coen stated that his mount was hampered as the horses dropped back. J. A. Heffernan stated that he was brought down by a faller on the flat. J. M. Sheridan stated that he was badly hampered. J. Kearney stated that his mount burst a blood vessel and stopped very quickly before coming down. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards did not apportion blame to any rider and took no further action.

082D BOYLE Sports H'cap

J.M. Sheridan, rider of Apache Star, trained by E. D. Delany, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung badly right from two furlongs out.

082E His Majesty's Cup H'cap

W.J. Lee, rider of Asdana, trained by W. McCreery, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount jumped left from the stalls.

082F Paddy Woods Memorial Apprentice H'cap

The Raceday Stewards interviewed J.S. Dalton, rider of Superficial (FR), concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted that he was in breach of the Regulation and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that J. S. Dalton was in breach of Regulation 10.3.g, (excessive frequency) and having considered his record in this regard (first offence) they suspended J. S. Dalton for two racedays. Having been informed of the nature of the enquiry and their right to be accompanied, J. S. Dalton elected to proceed without accompaniment.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Desert Friend, trained by P.J.F. Murphy, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

S.A. Wallace, rider of Lagoon Nebula (GB), trained by Andrew Kinirons, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was slowly away and never travelled.

J. Pietropaolo, rider of Obscenity, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left throughout.

The Raceday Stewards informed Andrew Slattery, trainer that Beechingstoke, would have to be recertified before being declared to run from stalls again.
